Warning about 'fake' charity collection leaflets

Just had one of those charity collection leaflets pushed through the door here on Brookside, Collingham. It claims to be collecting for the 'Lithuanian Orphan Fellowship', and is from a company called 'A.N.Y.A. Ltd'.

Just had one of those charity collection leaflets pushed through the door here on brookside, Collingham.

It claims to be collecting for the 'Lithuanian Orphan Fellowship', and is from a company called 'A.N.Y.A. Ltd'.

A few things make it look very suspicious, and probably a scam.

1. Company is not a registered charity.
2. They only have a mobile phone number for contact.
3. They have a website, but have a 'free' email address.
4. They say on the leaflet: "100% of our monthly profits (after the deduction of salaries and operating costs) to the charity." In other words, very little!
5. Their website, and the 'Lithuanian Orphan Fellowship' web site are hosted with the same company - implication that they are run by the same people.

I for one am more than happy to donate to good causes, and always try something to give ... but this company appears suspect.
